HELLO,
My name is Rachel. I am so happy you are here.
Yoga found me over 2 decades ago during a challenging time in life. Looking back I see that the universe offered me a lifeline, a system to come home in my body, to ground, stabilize and help myself navigate while here on Earth. It only took hearing the sound of the invocation prayer during my first class to sense a profound peace bubble up from deep within and immediately I was hooked and wanted to explore more.
From an early age I had always been wondering, “Who am I ?” and on a quest for the truth about life. It was this curiosity that afforded me generous, in person experiences with many people, cultures and countries.
Up until this point I had always been on an external quest. Searching high and low outside of myself to fill the void. Hearing the sound of the Sanskrit mantra that first class, resonated so deeply that it cast a modern day spell encouraging me to explore the territory within my physical body and ignite my inborn resources. My body, my breath, my voice, my energy body, my mind. In my life I have had many struggles ~ bullying, abuse, addiction, eating disorder, anxiety, depression and burnout. Life can throw us curve balls and unknown challenges WILL surface ~it’s not just rainbows and unicorns lol!
Yoga has been a healthy, healing way to process and unpack all I carry.
To those seeking, Yoga is a link to the ever present, safe, solid space that resides WITHIN. Yoga is a bridge - connecting one to the internal, eternal light - Your source.
Over the span of the past decade I have also embraced Ayurveda and Jyotisha ( sister sciences to Yoga). I am humbled at the beauty, depth and vastness of the Vedic Sciences. They excite me because of the impossibility to learn all they offer in this life. Daily I feel more harmony and energy as I collect droplets from these wisdom systems. They have already survived several millennia and are still as effective in our modern time as the days the Rishis experienced and recorded their visions. They do not require updating.
As I walk my path, I feel very fortunate and blessed to have worked with many gifted mentors. We are warm, compassionate and social beings who need closeness, understanding and attention. In a time when I feel so many people seem to be “tuning out” or numbing, Yoga is a tool to “tune in” and connect. I believe Yoga has the power to help everybody and feel it is essential to seek guidance and support from others along our way.
The Rishis of long ago on their journeys had visions, marking out a systematic path for those seeking ascension.
Are you ready to rise and level up your life for a bright future?
I’d love to meet you and chat if this is of interest.
